Ronald Edward Weimer, 64, died on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron passed with his family by his side. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Susan; their son, Brian; grandson, Aaron; and twin brother, Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Viola Weimer.

Although born in Oakland, Ron was raised in Southern California and his family moved to Ceres in 1964, just in time for his senior year of high school. After graduation he moved to Modesto where he met Susan and was married on June 6, 1970. Ron and Susan started their married life in the Bay Area where he worked for Hewlett-Packard for 30 years. His love for gardening was only overshadowed by his love for cars.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Park View Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road in Manteca, followed by a reception at 6910 E. Lathrop Road, Manteca.
