Ronald M. Bernard

July 4, 1938-November 5, 2016

   Ronald M. Bernard was born July 4, 1938 in Deadwood, South Dakota.  Ron passed away peacefully on November 5, 2016 in Modesto, California.  Ron was preceded in death by his parents Pierre and Dolores Bernard, brother, Pierre Charles and sister, Joanne Renee.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Diane, son Charles Bernard, daughter Rochelle (Mark) Kopeckny, granddaughter Danielle Kopeckny, brother, Richard Keith and many cousins.

   In his teens Ron moved with his family from his beloved Black Hills to Oakland where he attended Fremont High School.  He became an Apprentice and Journeyman Electrician with Southern Pacific Railroad then worked as an electrician at Cal State Hayward (East Bay) for 32 years and was a resident of Manteca for six years.

   Ron will be deeply missed by his family and many friends including Breann Overfield and Cierra Comfort who called him their grandpa.  No service is scheduled at this time.
