Ronaldo Joseph Ramos
September 23, 1944-December 11, 2015
Ronaldo Joseph Ramos bw

On December 11, Ronaldo J. Ramos returned to his heavenly home following a pointed battle with pancreatic cancer. His spiritual depth and practices supported him and ultimately gave him peace. He was surrounded by love with brother Ken and sister-in-law Lois Ramos (FL) at his side, holding his hands.
He was born September 23, 1944 to Laura and Frank Ramos of E. Providence, RI. He grew up in a large family with three sisters and six brothers. Ann Macanony (RI), Norman Ramos (RI), Robert Ramos (FL), Ken Ramos (FL), Michael Ramos (RI), Dawn Ramos, Elaine Imbruglia, Frank Ramos and Peter Ramos.
He married Francis Fernandez in 1961 and fathered five children; Veronica Ramos (MA), Roslyn Ramos (RI), Rhonda Ramos (FL), John Ramos (MA), Ronaldo Ramos Jr (TX) and with Ms. Gail Martel fathered Tammi Stefano (CA). In 1981, he moved to the Manteca area and reinvented himself as a hairstylist and business owner (Genesis Salon & Casa de Cabelo Salon). His friends and family knew him as an artist, musician, poet, sidewalk philosopher, social butterfly, always running late, lover of all things beautiful and a man who held onto his child-like wonder till the very end.
He loved to play his guitar, ride his motorcycle, dress well, eat good food, drink fine spirits, contemplate life’s big lessons and counsel loved ones. Ronaldo was a free-bird and true philosopher at heart who was soft-spoken and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem no matter how small. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones who relied on his warm friendship and deep insights.
He is survived by his wife Marie Ramos of Roseville, CA, his mother, five of nine siblings, all six of his children plus four grandchildren - Julian, Aaron, Antony, Andolina and Olivia and many good friends.
Ronaldo requested cremation and his ashes will be interned in the early spring in Rhode Island. The family gratefully declines flowers and donations but prayers and condolences are gladly accepted at misscatina@gmail.com
