Ronnie Gene Liles of Manteca, born December 22, 1943 passed away January 18, 2012.

Ron had made Manteca his home for the past 37 years. He was retired from the California Highway Patrol after 30 years of service. He belonged to the Lions Club of Manteca and the Elks Club of Stockton. He and his wife loved traveling to various places with the Tuleburg Travelers of Stockton. Ron liked to fish and hunt and at least 3 days a week you could find him on the golf course, he was a member of the Valley Golfers of Manteca.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Jack and Dolly Liles, and his brother Jack Liles.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Katherine Liles, daughters Pamela Murphy of Dos Palos, and Kimberli Thompson (Matt) of Manteca, sister Charlotte Nanninga (Richard) of Redding, brother Roger Liles (Nona) of Corning, grandchildren Trevor Murphy (Samantha) of Ft. Lewis, WA,Tristen Murphy of Manteca, Hannah Thompson of Corpus Christi, TX and Mackenzie & Mackayla Thompson of Manteca and various nephews and nieces.

A celebration of his life will be held at Grace Community Church in Lathrop on January 26th at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his name to Stanford Hospital, BMT Division, 300 Pasteur Drive Room H0101, Stanford, CA 94305-5623. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home.
