   Rosie Fagundes, age 95, entered into rest on August 20, 2014, in Manteca.  She was born on May 9, 1919, in Ripon, CA, to the late Henry Sr. and Elvira Azevedo.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Fagundes, her siblings, Tony Azevedo, Henry Azevedo and Lucy Azevedo, and two godchildren, Marybelle Cunha and Larry Steves.
Rosie was a resident of Manteca for 71 years. 
   Rosie is survived by her godchildren, Richard Azevedo, Larry Azevedo, Regina Huckaby, Diane Costa, Dave Costa, Adeline Rosemire, her siblings, Joe Azevedo (Joan) and Mary Costa (Alex), her sisters-in-law, Theresa Azevedo  and Madeline Azevedo; and many nieces and nephews.
   Rosie worked for Kraft Foods and Laura Scudder’s as a factory worker.  She loved camping, square dancing and ballroom dancing.  She enjoyed shopping, sewing and knitting.  Rosie loved to travel to Palm Springs, Pismo Beach, and many different areas throughout the west coast.  One of her favorite foods was McDonald’s apple pie. Rosie was a member of St. Anthony’s Church and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. 
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Fagundes family.  A visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6 p.m., at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.  A Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 E. Hwy 120, Ripon.  Final resting place will be St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204, or Community Hospice, 4358 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.  An online guest book is available at www.plfryandson.com.
