Ruby M. Carson (Arnold), 90, died on Thursday, April 29, at her residence in Modesto. She was born on May 24, 1919 in Bartley, Nebraska, and lived in Modesto for four years. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Eugene N. Carson.

She is survived by her children, David Carson and wife Sherry of Manteca, Daniel Carson of New York and Bonnie Carson of Modesto; grandchildren, Rick Carson, Jody Shannon, Jim Ohlson, Scott Ohlson, Hidie Mooney, Shawna Carson, David Carson Jr., Alex Carson, Kessa Wissebach, DeeDee Carson and Patrick Carson; 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, the late Richard Ohlson and Kit Carson.

Ruby was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, bingo, camping and fishing. She enjoyed staying in touch with her grandchildren via e-mail. Her family said, “Her grandchildren brought her much joy in her life.”
