Ruby Sports passed away at The Commons, in Manteca, California on September 2, 2012, at the age of 85.

She was born to Nancy and Grady Price on April 3, 1927 in Florence, South Carolina, but also resided in several other states, like New York, Arkansas, Alaska, and California. Ruby was a dedicated military wife and a loving mother of three. She adored her family and loved being surrounded by them. Ruby was a member of several great churches, with the last being Crossroads Grace Community Church. She enjoyed flowers and butterflies and each state she lived in provided her with plenty of both.

Ruby is survived by her three children, Peggy Lawrence of Summers, Arkansas, Sandra Holm of Manteca, California, and Greg Sports of Copper Center, Alaska. She also leaves behind 12 grand children, 26 great grandchildren, her sister, Shelley Hannah and her brother, Wendell Price of South Carolina.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Sports, her sister, Doris Price, her brother, Sonny Price and her parents, Grady and Nancy Price.

A memorial service to celebrate Ruby’s life will take place at Crossroads Grace Community Church in Manteca, on September 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
