Russell James ‘Russ’ Acquistapace, 49, of Las Vegas, NV passed away October 14, 2013, surrounded by his close and loving family. He was born May 16, 1964, in Manteca, Calif., and was a Las Vegas resident of almost 30 years. He served six years in the U.S. Air Force and was an aircraft maintenance technician with American Airlines. Russell had a great love for hot rods and restorations, as well as photography. He was a truly devoted, generous and beloved son, brother and father.
   He is survived by his parents, Marge and Roger Acquistapace; children, Gabriella and Nicholas Acquistapace, all of Las Vegas; sister, Shelly (Bob) Hills of Pioneer, Calif.; and brother, Marvin (Sandi) Acquistapace Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska.
   He is also survived by four nieces, Samantha and Zoe Banks, and Ellen and Sofia Acquistapace, whom he enjoyed spoiling and smothering with love and attention.
   He will always be remembered in the hearts of his family and many close friends as a kind, gentle heart with a great soft spot for animals, especially his constant companion, Henry, his beautiful Golden Retriever. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, October 26, with services following; both at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Jackson, Calif.  Burial will be immediately following at the Sunset View Cemetery also in Jackson, Calif.  ‘Rest in Peace Russ, you will remain in our hearts forever.”
