Russell W. Hand, 43, entered eternity on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011.  He was born on March 29, 1967 in Manteca, CA.  In heaven, he joins his parents, Russell and Ritchie Hand.

Russell leaves behind his wife Judith Hand as well as four children: Amber, Russell, Elizabeth, and Trina.  Russell also had eight step-children: Sarah, Brandie, Rosanna, Robert, John, Joe, Jory, and Kim.  He was also blessed with 4 grandchildren: Alexia, McKenzie, Devinrose, and Dre.  Russell was also survived by his 3 siblings: Robert Hand of Palo Alto, Richard Hand of Manteca, and Rhonda Hand-Giovannoni of Manteca as well as many aunts, uncles, and other family members.

A lifelong resident of Manteca, where he raised his family and worked since the age of 16, Russell was a hard worker, and “Jack of all trades.”  There were very few things that Russell couldn’t do or fix.  While being a professional flooring installer and employed by Fun and Games Inc., Russell spent much of his free time and expertise helping others.  Russell loved his church and would help anyone who needed it.  He would repair cars and homes of those in need and donated much of his time and talents in the renovation of his church.

A true Raiders fan, Russell was also known for his sense of humor.  He loved the outdoors, camping, and was an Eagle Scout as a teenager.  Russell also enjoyed mentoring young men and helping them learn how to work with their hands.

He was committed to his family and will be dearly missed.  He will also be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Arrangements for Russell Hand are under the direction of Park View Memorial Funeral Chapel.  3661 E. French Camp Road.  A Celebration of Life service will be held in his honor Saturday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. at Northgate Community Church, 650 Northgate Drive, Manteca.
