Ruth Frieda Fondse
October 11, 1930 – December 27, 2021

Ruth Frieda Fondse was born at home on Melton Road, Manteca on October 11,1930.  She peacefully transitioned to the heavenly realms on December 27, 2021.  
   Ruth graduated from Ripon Christian in1948.  She then worked as the secretary for the superintendent of Ripon Nestles. Ruth was very proficient at shorthand. Shortly thereafter she married Adrian Fondse at Ripon’s 1st Crc February 23, 1951.  Adrian enlisted in the Navy and left to Japan a few weeks later. When Adrian returned home from Japan, they moved to their house on Carrolton Road in Ripon, where they welcomed their four children. Ruth was a busy homemaker and saw that the kids went to church and Sunday school each week.  She belonged to Calvary Reformed Church of Ripon. Ruth also took care of the bookkeeping for the family farm and heavy haul trucking business.  Ruth was passionate about flowers and animals. Ruth loved Sunday drives to see the wildflowers and fall colors in the mountains. She loved the National parks and the ocean.  
   Ruth loved all animals.  All of Ruth’s life, she always had at least one dog and one cat. She loved horses, especially Appaloosas.  Ruth enjoyed riding them in the fields and the river bottom.  Ruth took daily walks with her dog or dogs in her almond orchards and down the dirt road until she was 89.  Ruth’s world was her parents, her siblings, her husband of 70 years, her kids and later her grandkids and great- grandkids.
   Ruth is survived by her husband Adrian Fondse, her daughter, Michele De Groot (John) Brian Fondse (Laurie)  Randy Fondse (Sally) Lorene Wever, and seven
grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister and best friend Gerry Nies.  
   Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Henrietta (Rie) Nies, her sister Henrietta Eskes , her brother Henry (Hank ) Nies, and her grandson Alexander C. Wever.
   A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at
11:00 a.m. at Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon.
