Sarah Marie Kanzler Hammarstrom, 68, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 in Kaysville, Utah. She was born Nov. 6, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Frederick Carl and Roxie Rowena Wilkinson Kanzler. Sarah married Richard Emil Hammarstrom on Sept. 6, 1958 in Los Angeles.

She was a lifelong dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served willingly in many of the church organizations. She loved genealogy, sewing, craft projects, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Richard Hammarstrom, Kaysville, Utah; children, Richard Jr. (Eileen), and Julie (David) Crockett of Manteca, James (Kristi) of Danville, B. David (Karen) of Providence, RI, Brent of San Leandro, Stephen (Celeste) of Ripon, Glen (Elaine) of Modesto; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Kanzler and granddaughter, Julia Hammarstrom.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 11, at 10 a.m. at the Park View Cemetery, French Camp. Friends and family may call Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Primary Children’s Hospital, 100 N. Medical Drive, SLC, Utah 84103.
