Sheila Valim, age 51, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2013 surrounded by her devoted husband of 25 years, Jorge and her loving family, after her courageous battle with cancer.
   Those who knew Sheila, felt blessed to have her love and friendship.
   Sheila graduated from Manteca High School. She was going back to school to get her degree in psychology when she was first diagnosed.
   Sheila was a gifted and talented cake decorator. Everyone who enjoyed her delicious cakes became a fan.    Sheila also had a whimsical side, where she became “Shebo” the clown, entertaining children of all ages.
   Sheila was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Ripon. Sheila served in several positions for her church. Her devotion to God was shown through her dedication to her church and their members.
   Sheila is survived by her husband Jorge, sons Jorge Jr (Jessica) Valim of Lathrop, Justin Johnston of Honolulu, Joe Valim of Escalon, Jeremy (Ashleigh) Valim of Escalon, daughters Michele Valim of Manteca, Amanda Sanchez of Escalon, 10 grandchildren, six siblings, and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
   Sheila loved spending time with her grandchildren and family members. Over the years Jorge and Sheila had several foreign exchange students from Japan.
   Sheila will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery at a private service on October 11, 2013. A remembrance service will be held at the Portuguese Social Hall on Sunday, October 13, 2013.
