Shirley Bartlett of Ripon passed away December 14, 2012 at the age of 62.
Shirley was born in Columbus, Kansas and moved to California in 1964. She graduated from Manteca High School in 1968 and married in 1970. She worked in the office at Lindberg Educational Center in Manteca and was the credential analyst for San Joaquin County Office of Education. Her love of and faith in God guided her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and vacationing on the beach, especially in Avila Beach, California. She will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Bartlett, children John Bartlett (Cary) of Salida and Phillip Bartlett (Laurie) of Ripon, grandchildren Nick Bartlett, Alyssa Bartlett, and Ashley Bartlett, brothers George Markham (Helen) of Manteca, Kenneth Markham (Liz) of Mountain Ranch, sisters Patsy Myers (David) of Cherokee, KS, and Barbara Collins (Jim) of Stockton. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Leta Markham and grandson Ayden Bartlett.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Community Church, 815 W Lathrop Rd., Manteca on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 am. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin in memory of Shirley Bartlett.
