Susan Nako

Susan Nako passed away on July 14, 2018 in Manteca, CA.  She was born on July 6, 1946, in Brighton, MA the third of six children. 

   In 1970, she married Allen Nako in Hyannisport, MA and worked as a teacher in South Boston, MA. They lived in Westwood, MA. In 1977, Susan and Allen moved to Half Moon Bay, CA where they lived for nearly 30 years before relocating to Manteca. Following Allen’s retirement in 1992, the two opened a successful gift shop on Main Street in Half Moon Bay. Susan loved spending time with her family, playing cards and socializing with friends, art, crafting, and cooking. 

   Susan is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Florence Ball, brother, Stephen J. Ball and brother in law, David Burgess. 

   Susan is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Allen Nako, children Jason and Mai Nako of Portland, OR and Lindsay Nako and Jason Polastri of Oakland, CA, siblings Maryellen Burgess of Middleton, MA, Bonnie and Rich Thomas of Cataumet, MA, Linda and Tom Younis of Brookline, MA, Kate and Bill Zamparelli of Cambridge, MA and sister-in-law Kymberly Corbett of Arlington Heights, IL.  She was blessed with two grandchildren, Emerson Nako of Portland, OR and Hazel Polastri of Oakland, CA and many loving nieces and nephews.
