Sylvia Catherine Lopes passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in Rocklin, California. She was born on December 2, 1938, in California to the late Cirillo and Maria DePedrini.

A devoted homemaker for many years, Sylvia played an essential role in running the family ranch. She embraced her husband's heritage and was active in the MRPS Hall and took pride in celebrating Portuguese culture. Her Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout her life.
After raising her children, Sylvia began a fulfilling second chapter working for the Manteca Unified School District. This new role brought her joy and a renewed sense of purpose.
Sylvia was known for her calm and welcoming nature. She had a quiet strength that made others feel at ease. Before James’s passing in 2016, the couple enjoyed traveling with their camping club, creating cherished memories together.
Sylvia’s legacy lives on through the family she loved and the community she supported. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her. P.L.
