Taffy Gayle Knight, age 88, passed away at her home in Manteca, in the care of her loving husband Damon on Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was born on March 8, 1930 in Glendale, CA, to Charles and Anne Fleager.
On April 1, 2010 she married Damon Knight. Taffy and Damon enjoyed camping, travel, dominos and bridge with friends as well as spending time with family and friends.
Taffy was preceded in death by her only sibling William Fleager and is survived by her beloved husband Damon. She is also survived by her son, Stephen Thayer and daughter Penny Susan Watne and their families. Steve’s wife Tobie, grand- daughter Kaity Gould, grandson Kevin Thayer, and five great grandchildren. Penny’s husband Marshall, grand- daughter Brooke, grandson Marshall Dune and grandson Colin Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held on Friday June 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca. The family will greet friends at the clubhouse at Damon’s home at 1830 E. Yosemite on Saturday June 16, 2018 at
1 p.m.
