Tara Contreras, 42, went home to be with the Father September 13, 2013, after struggling for many years with an illness. She is finally at peace with the Lord.
   Tara was born on January 31, 1971, in Davis Hospital, Davis, California. She leaves behind her beloved companion dog, Roxxy, and her father, Hector Contreras, of Davis, CA, her mother and step father, Kitty and Jim Walker of Manteca, CA, brother Troy Contreras of Nigatta, Japan. Tara also leaves behind her legacy, a son, Michael Jabaay, of Anchorage, Alaska, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
   Tara attended Manteca High School. She will be remembered for her quick wit and giving heart. She loved to make people laugh. She loved to do things for people, she was very caring. Tara also loved animals.
   Per Tara’s wishes, the family will not have funeral services for her. She will be cremated and laid to rest with her beloved grandmother, Marta Contreras, who went to heaven before her. The family has elected to have a small memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to an animal rescue of your choice.
