Teresa De Quirarte Montalvo, 88, entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2016 in Manteca, CA. She was born on January 8, 1928 in Mexico to the late Domingo and Natividad Quirarte.
   She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother and her beloved husband Guadalupe Montalvo.
   Teresa is survived by her two daughters Lupe Razo and Esther Calderon. She was blessed with eight grand children Kathrene Razo, Jennifer Hernandez, Pedro Calderon III, David Calderon, Adam Calderon, Stephanie Razo, Robert Razo and Abby M. Arroyo and four great-grandchildren Anita, Angelina, Tristan, and Antonio.
   Teresa worked in the agricultural industry for over 60 years. She was a well-respected farm labor contractor for many agricultural farms in the Northern California area. She was a devout Catholic who attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Manteca. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Teresa constantly prayed for her family’s well-being. She possessed admirable qualities including honesty, integrity and an extremely hard work ethic. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed seeing her family well-fed with smiles on their faces. She enjoyed gardening, trips to local casinos, and dining out with her grandchildren enjoying their laughter and conversation. She loved many Hispanic traditions but especially loved her Mariachi music and telenovelas. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Montalvo family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil at 7 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. Mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 E. North St., Manteca, CA.
