Thelma J. Kierbow, age 80, entered into rest on January 13, 2014 in Lathrop.  She was born on April 6, 1933 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Joseph and Anna (Strauss) Skiba.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Kierbow and her great grandson, Robert Scott Price.  Thelma was a resident of Lathrop for 40 years. 
   Thelma leaves behind her son, Jay Alan Sylvester and his wife, Diane, of Washington; her granddaughters, Amy Sylvester Morales of Galt and Michelle Spaulding and her husband, Shawn, of Modesto; her great grandchildren, Cassandra Massoni, Nicholas Schell, Timothy Reno, Joseph Ortiz, all of Modesto, and Michael Reno of Galt.  She was blessed with one great great granddaughter, Serenity Reno of Galt.  She also leaves behind her siblings, Lance Ferry and his wife, Diane of Lexington, KY, David Ferry of Cadillac, MS, and Ryan Ferry of Lexington, KY; and her dearest friends, Carmen and Gerald Nickels and Anthony McKinney.
   Thelma was active with the Women of the Moose Lodge and several charitable organizations. She enjoyed going to car shows with her late husband. Thelma’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, is honored to be serving the Kierbow family.  A visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2014 1pm to 5pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11am at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 E.
