Timothy R. Loop passed away peacefully at his home in Manteca at the age of 63. He was born in French Camp, California to Willis and Rena (Eisenga) Loop.

Tim retired from Franzia Winery after 40 years of employment.  He was a resident of Manteca for the past 30 years and was a prior resident of Ripon, graduating from Ripon High School in 1963.  He was a veteran of the Army and did a tour in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart for his services.  Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bowling & water sports; but most of all he loved golfing.  Tim was a member of Escalon & Ripon golf clubs, Ripon Congregational Church as well as the VFW 1051 Ripon Post.

Tim is survived by his wife of 21 years, Patti Loop, his daughter Lisa Cabrera-Gomes & her husband Anthony of Cypress Texas, his grandchildren Cruz Gomes and Cali Gomes, both of Cypress Texas, his siblings, Lonnie Loop, Lannis Thomas, and Sandy Kanakis,  all of Ripon, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins all in our local area. His parents preceded him in death. Tim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Ave., Ripon.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26. at 10 a.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Ripon Cemetery, 320 N. Stockton Road., following the services.

In loving memory, Tim’s family has requested that donations be made to the VFW Post 1051 PO Box 604, Ripon CA 95366 or to Asera Care Hospice 2529 W.
