Tracy Elizabeth Cortez, 48, was granted her wings on Monday, July 14, 2014.
Tracy passed after a short illness.
Tracy was born on July 1, 1966, in Fremont, California.  Tracy was a 1984 graduate of American High School in Fremont, CA.  After graduating and starting a family in the Bay Area, Tracy moved out to the central valley to be close to her Mom in the early 1990’s. Tracy owned T’s Plush Puppies in Manteca, and had been in the dog grooming business for most of her life.
Tracy is survived by her loving partner, Steven Jessup Sr. of Manteca, her three children and best friend; daughter Janeen Chilcott and son-in-law Austin Chilcott of Turlock, son Adam Montalvo Jr. of Manteca, son Steven Jessup Jr. of U.S. Navy, stepson Jake Jessup of Manteca; grandson Evan Chilcott and granddaughter Lucy Chilcott of Turlock; mother  Melvene and step father John Fortuny of Manteca,  father Wayne Cortez of San Jose; grandmother Marie Helen Cortez of Paradise; and dozens of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and long-time friends throughout the surrounding area.  Tracy is also survived by her fur babies, little LuLu and Larry.
Tracy’s passion was spending time with all of her children, including her precious grand babies and fur babies.  Tracy also enjoyed frequent trips to the river and water rafting with family and friends.  She had a love for life that was bigger than life itself. She will always be known for her positive outlook on life and her wicked sense of humor.
Tracy’s spirit will live in us all and in our memories of Tracy; her final moments of life will always be cherished.
