Vanmalibhai P. Patel of Manteca passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the age of 80. He was born on December 21, 1928 in Asta, India and has lived in Manteca for 5 years and previously was of Escalon.
Vanmalibhai was a motel manager for 25 years and also a crane operator. He was a member of Central Valley Gujarati Samaj. Vanmalibhai was an avid Raider fan and an A’s fan. He was a really true supporter of Wolverhampton Wonders in England.
Vanmalibhai is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gangaben Patel of Manteca; his children Tara K Patel and spouse Keshav of Atlanta, Georgia; Jaya J Patel and spouse Jayantilal of Clinton, Mississippi; and Dipak V Patel and spouse Jayna of Manteca;, his grandchildren Rakesh Patel, Alpal Patel, Mitul Patel, Tina Patel, Dev Patel, Jasmine Patel and Dhillon Patel;, great-grandchildren Aren, Ayden and Aashni.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 27 between 6 to 8 p.m. and chapel services will be held on Tuesday, July 28 at 10 a.m. both at Fry Memorial Chapel 550 S. Central Ave, Tracy, Ca 95376. Burial will be private. A guest book will be available on-line to send condolences to the family at www.frymemorialchapel.com .
