Velma Lois Johnston, 55, entered into rest on March 15, 2012 in Stockton. She was born on August 31, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas. She was a resident of Manteca for 14 years and lived previously in Modesto and Hayward.

Lois is survived by her husband of 18 years, Keith Johnston of Manteca; her daughter, Britney Johnston of Manteca; and her siblings, Carolyn Green of Georgia, David Heath of Concord and Gerallynn Heath of Ripon.

Lois was devoted to her family, providing a happy home with love and structure. She was involved in her daughter’s school, helping in the classroom. She was musically talented and loved all types of music. She loved playing the guitar and was self taught on the piano. She had a beautiful singing voice. She was a strong leader in high school theatre. She also proudly attended Ronald McDonald University. She loved anything Disney and going to Disneyland. Lois was a very quiet, reserved, and loyal person. She had a small circle of friends, and made a big impact on the people who knew her. She was always there if you needed anything. She was a wonderful person who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Velma Lois Johnston have been entrusted to PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A Chapel service will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. at PL Fry & Son. An online tribute wall is available at www.plfryandson.com for condolences. (search obituaries)
