Victoria Wachsman Kirby
February 23, 1962-December 3, 2022
Vic Kirby obit

Victoria Wachsman Kirby, 60, of Manteca, CA went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of December 3, 2022.

Vicki was born on February 23, 1962 to Cecil and Camille Wachsman in San Jose, CA. She met her soul mate, Dean Kirby, at Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose where she graduated in 1980. She married Dean on May 10,1980 and they settled in Manteca, where they lived together for 42 years until her sudden and unexpected death.

Vicki was a devoted and loving mother to three children; Katrina, Brian and Autumn, who, along with all of her grandchildren, were the light of her life. She was also a foster mom to several children who she loved as her own, including Ryann Nieves. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Manteca where she found much joy in spending time with the lifelong friends she made there. She later attended Calvary Community Church, and most recently Crossroads Grace Church.

Dean and Vicki owned and ran Mocha Mania from 1998-2004. Vicki loved building relationships with her customers there and was a well loved boss. After Mocha Mania closed, she returned to school and graduated from the nursing program at CSU, Stanislaus with her BSN in 2009. She worked on the surgical floor at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto from 2009-2016 and then went on to work at Manteca Unified School District as a school nurse until her passing.

Vicki was loved by everyone who met her, and loved them in return. She didn’t care who you were, what you believed or how you lived your life, if you came into hers, she cared for you.  She will be deeply missed.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Wachsman, step-mother Patricia Wachsman, and sister Sandra Cordova. She is survived by her husband Dean, their children Katrina (Josh), Brian (Victoria), Autumn (Aaron) and Ryann (Sara) and grandchildren Jack, Elise, Brayden, Charlotte, Sam, Layla, Grace and Grant.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4 p.m. at Crossroads Grace Community Church, 1505 Moffat Blvd., Manteca. All are welcome to attend. Vicki wouldn’t want us to wear black, so please wear color!

The family asks that in Lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Vicki’s memory. A special thank you to P.L. Fry and Son Funeral home for their help. For direct condolences to the family visit Vicki's online tribute page at www.plfryandson.com
