Vilma Moreira Burton was born in Brazil.
  She is survived by her son Paul Lee Burton, grandson Alexander Lee Burton, both of Orlando, FL, dearest friend Peggy Thompson Spear, cousin Francis Costa and four second cousins.
  Vilma retired from Owen Brockway in 1994. She was a Portuguese instructor at the Foreign Service Institute; U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC. She was also in the Peace Corp under the direction of JFK.
  She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Auxiliary of the United States Air Force. She held a pilot’s license and was a parachute jumper for sports and social activities.
  Vilma was quite a character. She could make you laugh with her funny accent.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00am at the Parkview Funeral Home.
   In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Manteca Senior Center.
