Virginia Ginger Carranza

Virginia “Ginger” Carranza, 45, entered into rest on October 19, 2010 in Lathrop California. She was born on June 20, 1965 in Santa Ana, California where she lived until the age of 13.

Ginger is survived by her parents Adolph and Virginia Carranza of Lathrop. Her children are sons Matthew Rebiero, Anthony Rebiero and Christopher Rebiero and daughter Frances Rebiero all of Lathrop. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren Lorenzo Galiza, Emelio Carranza and Andrew Carranza all of Lathrop. She has four surviving siblings Sophia McCall and husband Mike of Lathrop, Adolph Carranza and wife Jennifer of French Camp, Betty Arellano and husband Carlos of Lathrop and Crystal Vargas and husband Rick of Los Angeles.  Her grandfather is Ysidro Tafoya. In addition Ginger has many nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss her deeply.

Ginger was a resident of Lathrop for 31 years. She attended Nile Garden Elementary going on to East Union High School. She was a regular attendee with her family at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lathrop.  

Several years ago Ginger was employed at Care West Home as a Physical Therapist and Silva’s Pharmacy in Stockton. She enjoyed car rides with family and friends to local casinos enjoying the buffets and just being together socializing. She loved old school music as she would always sing along and dance to her favorite oldies. Ginger always had a smile on her face as her laugh was extremely infectious. Her zest for life always lit up the room she will be missed.

Ms. Carranza’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 from 1 to 7 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil service at 7 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, California. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday Oct. 26, 2010 at 11 a.m. 16200 Cambridge Drive in Lathrop. She will be laid to rest at East Union Cemetery.
