William Dean Pendleton passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023, in Modesto

at the age of 90. Bill was born on October 11, 1932, to parents William and Ruth

Pendleton in Syracuse, New York. Bill has been a resident of Ripon since 1962.

 After completing high school and attending college, Bill was drafted into the US

Navy where he served for two years. He would then go to work as a machinist, which he continued to do for most of his life. Bill was a member of Ripon Free

Methodist Church and enjoyed spending his time serving the Lord alongside his wife, Yvonne. When he was able, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandkids. Bill would always drop anything he was doing to help others. He was dependable, hardworking, and a loyal husband, father,

grandfather, and friend. The community members of Ripon will fondly remember

Bill, often seen riding his scooter around town.

 Bill leaves behind his children, Cindy Martin (John), Richard Pendleton (Ann), Tim Pendleton (Veronica) and Mike Pendleton (Ann), along with his grandchildren, Eric Pendleton (Anna), Kaeli Gibson (Joseph), Abigail, Allison, Logan, Bryce, Cami, and Baelyn Pendleton, and one great-granddaughter, Bella Gibson. 

   Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Nettie Yvonne Pendleton, and his sister, Doris Dunham.

 Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Pendleton family. A

graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 

10:00 a.m.at Ripon Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Ripon Free Methodist Church.
