William Michael Miller, 85, passed away in Manteca on May 12, 2010.  He was a resident of Manteca for 48 years.  William was born on May 16, 1924 in Illinois.  He was preceded in death by wife, the late Jacqueline Louise Miller, his parents the late Coda and Cora Miller, and was raised by the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Holterman, and his son, the late Steve Michael Miller.     

William was a World War II Army veteran who served for three years.  He retired in 1986 after working for over 35 years from Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Plant in Lathrop.  He was an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.  He enjoyed bowling on many bowling leagues in Manteca through the years.  He loved family gatherings and especially enjoyed his great-grandchildren.  

William is survived by his son Jeffrey Alan Miller of Manteca; grandchildren, Allison Miller, Ashley Miller, Amy Miller and Jeffrey Miller. He was blessed with 3 great-grandchildren.  

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca, CA. 95336 or American Cancer Society 207 E. Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA. 95204.
Arrangements are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Rosary/Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca.  Final resting place is St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S.
