Wilma Farris, 88, died on Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Tracy. The former Wilma Whiteside was born on Nov. 25, 1921 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was a resident of Tracy for 61 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Elvin Farris, and her daughter, Louise Sherman.

She is survived by her children, Gary Farris of Tracy and Brenda Longnecker of Colfax; nine grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Wilma enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, watching game shows and loved her dog “Bud.” She loved shopping with her granddaughter Dolores.

Fry Memorial Chapel is in charge of funeral service. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel in Tracy. Chapel service will be Tuesday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel. Final resting place will be Tracy Public Cemetery. An online guest book available at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
