Ysidro “Tito” Tafoya of Lathrop & Manteca was born in Santa Ana, CA on May 15, 1924. He entered in to rest on April 5, 2014. He was 89 years old.
   He is survived by his beloved wife Fransisca Tafoya and family. He has 11 loving children, the late Ysidro Jr. “Cisco” Tafoya, Frances Rosales, Sally Shrader, Virginia Carranza, Joey Tafoya, Ralph Tafoya, Pete Tafoya, sons and daughters of Frances Delsied. The late Susan Tafoya, Tito Tafoya, Frank Tafoya, John Tafoya, daughters and sons of Fransisca Tafoya. He was blessed with 30 grandkids, Billy, Theresa, Frankie R., Chris, Vincent, Sheila, Mary, Virginia “Ginger”, Adolph III, Sophia, Betty, Joe, Michelle, Christina, Margaret, Ralph Jr., Trisha, Pete Jr., Lecretia, Daisy, Tito Jr., Adam, Brandon, Frankie, Alesaundra, Deanna, Melisa, John Jr., Arath, and also blessed with many great-grandkids. In addition, he is survived by his sister Helen Tafolla Meza.
   He is an Army Veteran of Foreign Wars and fought in World War II. He was awarded a European African Middle Eastern Ribbon with one battle star. In addition, he is a recipient of a Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars, American Theater Ribbon, World War II Victory Ribbon and a Good Conduct Medal.
   He belonged to the Local 25 Carpenters Union for the last 50 years. He loved wood working, raising livestock, having yard sales, telling jokes, riding horses, watching western movies, 49er games, and Nascar races on TV, and he loved his sweets. He will be remembered as a loving and great man. He will be dearly missed.
   Park View Cemetery is honored to be serving the Tafoya Family. Visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., including a rosary/vigil service beginning at 5 p.m., both held at Park View Cemetery, 3661 French Camp Road, Manteca. A 10 a.m. mass will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 16200 Cambridge Drive,  Lathrop, CA. Burial services will be held following the mass at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. Mccabe Rd., Gustine, CA 95332
