Yvonne R. Nylen, 91, entered into rest surrounded by her family on January 21, 2018 at her home in Manteca. She was born in Fresno on March 19, 1926. In heaven, Yvonne joins her adored husband of 66 ½ years, Raymond L. Nylen and parents Lemmie and Winnie Roberson. She leaves behind her children, Raymond D. Nylen of Manteca, Lee J. Nylen of Hiouchi, Don Nylen and wife Susan of Manteca and Janis Nylen of Escalon. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, Joann Jordan (John), Ramond D. Nylen Jr., Lindsay Nylen, Krista Arata (Jason), Jennifer Cooper (Joseph), Stephanie Winter (Brad), Adam Elsholz (Lilly), Clinton Elsholz (Alicia), Gary Elsholz (Desire) and Emily Costa (Brian). Yvonne was also blessed with ten great grandchildren. In addition she has two surviving siblings Donna Martinez (Jessie) and William Smith. Yvonne was a Manteca resident for over 70 years. She was nurse cadet during WWII. Yvonne would later retire from Manteca Hospital now known as Doctors Hospital Manteca as a registered nurse and operating room supervisor. Yvonne stayed busy, while nursing she also managed the family farm alongside her family. While her children were in school, Yvonne was PTA  President and a 4-H club leader. Yvonne was also a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church. She was a talented seamstress and quilted beautifully. She loved to dance with her husband Raymond, while all their grandchildren watched. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden. Yvonne loved her family dearly and looked forward to watching over her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was their number one fan attending all their sporting events. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed. P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Nylen family. Services will be held in her honor on Saturday, February 3, 2018. A brief viewing will begin at 9:30 am, chapel service will begin at 10:00 am at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. She will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road, French Camp.
