  Zachary Justin Atalig, 24, entered into rest on March 23, 2013 in Manteca, CA. He was born on May 24, 1988 in Hayward CA. 

Mr. Atalig is survived by his mother Yvonne Atalig of Fremont, his father Joseph Atalig of Guam, grandparents Margret and Bob Bettendorff as well as, his siblings Joe Atalig and sister-in-law Genna of Manteca, and Amanda Atalig of Guam. He adored his nieces and nephew Jojo Atalig, Abrianna Atalig, and Zoe Atalig. In addition he is survived by the love of his life (fiancé) of five years Maria “Lola” Gomez.

Zachary was known to his family and friends as “Zack.”  He attended local schools, Stella Brockmen, McParland, East Union and finally graduating from Heritage Family Academy Charter High School.  

For the past five years he worked at JC Penny’s warehouse in Lathrop as a supervisor. He enjoyed a challenging game of Poker, traveling to San Francisco, and eating out; especially when dining at The Olive Garden. He had a God given talent for writing music and poetry. He had an extreme interest in philosophy as he loved to explore the differences in logic, values  and beliefs. He loved his new found hobby of visiting the shooting range with friends. Zack had an unconditional love for his family; he loved spending time with them cherishing every moment and memory. He had a great respect for everyone as he was always kind and stood up for what he believed in. He had deep sense of spirituality and always loved with a full heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Atalig family. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. (Please no black attire)
