Annoying political robo phone calls

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
The Do Not Call List needs to be expanded to include political calls. Over the past month, we have received 5 to 10 calls a day from these stupid political telemarketers. Honestly, do Steve Poizner and Meg Whitman really think that I’ll vote for them because they call me several times a day?

The Federal Trade Commission, manages the national Do Not call Registry. The agency claims, “Political solicitations are not covered by the Telemarketing Sales Rule at all, since they are not included in its definition of ‘telemarketing.” You’ll never convince me that these political calls are not telemarketing. Marketing is trying to sell me something. These calls are trying to convince me that their candidate is better than another. There is no difference.

What gives them the right to interrupt my meals and personal time with their recorded messages? I’d love to have their home phone numbers and call than like they call me. They need a taste of their own medicine.
