Now that the Memorial Day events are over I would like to express my gratitude for each and every person involved in them. From the placement of the Flags Over Manteca to the parade, it was a lot of work and well appreciated.

The Memorial at Woodward Park was special. The 5,800 crosses were displayed perfectly with the Memorial in the center. The pictures of the fallen soldiers from this area, the names on the wall, the tomb of the unknown soldier and the color guard were all moving in their representation of those young men and women that gave their lives for us.

Thank you for bringing this Memorial Day celebration to all of us.
