Aquila: No more vodka, Baca

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

Larry Baca’s latest letter, “It’s Mueller Time” has me concerned since he seemed a little giddy over the possibility of Robert Mueller’s investigation into Trump-Russian collusion.  It has me wondering if Baca has been tipping the vodka in his premature tailgate party.

His celebration came to a crashing end when Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were indicted on tax fraud and the 31 page indictment that made no mention of Trump or Russian collusion.  At that point, Baca must have felt his bottle had run empty.

More dejecting was that all of Manafort’s alleged wrongdoings were predated before his brief stint with the Trump campaign.  I am sure that is when the hangover begun just like on election night when tears streamed down Baca’s face and over the vodka could put him to sleep knowing Hillary lost.

But wait!  Baca became jubilant and excited knowing a low level volunteer intern named George Papadopoulos pled guilty to making a false statement to the FBI.  Baca got excited once again only to find out he was also not charged with the so-called “collusion” because no such crime exists, and does not in the criminal code.  Simply put, Mueller has the task of finding a crime that does not exist in the law.  He is asked to do something that is manifestly unattainable to make people like Baca jubilant in believing the election was unfair.

Baca must have become excited when Donald Trump Jr. was accused of illegally conspiring with a Russian lawyer to obtain information on Hillary Clinton.  And what law did he break? None. But little did Baca know it was later revealed that Fusion GPS, the firm behind the unverified Trump dossier, had been paid by the DNC and Hillary Clinton (a federal crime) to get information, meeting with same Russian lawyer before and after the Trump Jr. sit down. Sounds like collaboration between the Russians and Hillary to me.

Baca must have taken another shot when Donna Brazile, who became head of the DNC, revealed in her new book that the DNC was rigged for Hillary and that Hillary illegally ran the DNC to make sure Bernie Sanders would not be the Democratic nominee.

More shots for Baca as more recent evidence of recordings, emails, financial records and a FBI informant reveal Hillary used her Secretary of State office to sell 20 percent of America’s uranium to Uranium One to confer benefits to Russia in exchange for kickbacks of millions of dollars in donations to her foundation, which has led to a Congressional investigation.  If true, Hillary could be charged with a myriad of crimes including bribery, fraud, extortion, money laundering, and racketeering.

Complicating matters, and causing Baca to take more shots of vodka, is the fact that Robert Mueller was the FBI Director during the time he was overseeing Hillary Uranium One criminal deal, which may cause Mueller to be disbanded by judicial order since the investigation is tainted with conflicts of interest.

As Baca takes his last shot, this all may lead to the appointment of a new Special Counsel and it won’t be to investigate Trump; but rather Hillary’s crimes and collusion with the Russians.

Until then, my advice to Larry”, “No more vodka, Baca.”
