Celebrating 4th of July on July 3 is almost un-American

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
How can the Bulletin sit back and let the idiots who run Manteca have a Fourth of July (Independence Day) celebration on the third of July?

In my eyes that degrades and disrespects the whole meaning of why we celebrate. If they want to have a party on the third, that’s OK, but don’t call it an Independence Day celebration because IT IS NOT!  What a bunch of idiots in city hall to put this onto the folks of Manteca. I can’t believe I’m the only one who thinks this is almost un-American. Hopefully the editors of the Bulletin will have something to say, maybe to apologize to the public for the city manager’s disregard for this great national holiday.
