I chuckled that your column (“Born to be wild: Black & white high tops” — Dennis Wyatt column, Feb. 18) was about tennis shoes and your other one several weeks ago about your foot issues. My family also has lots of hereditary foot issues. If you haven’t heard of the catalog or website “Footsmart” I wanted to tell you about it. They have all kinds of shoes with wide toe boxes and all kinds of bunion helpers and shoe implements.

I also found it interesting that you said Nike was your most comfortable shoe. I have some family members that own children shoe stores and in the past they’ve said Nike is the narrowest of most tennis shoes. My podiatrist always recommended New Balance as having a wider toe box. 

Anyway we always enjoy reading what you have to say and just thought I’d pass along that info in case you haven’t run across FootSmart before.
