Does Harder know where Manteca is?

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

Regarding Jeff Denham and the Manteca Peace Walk – both he and Assemblyman Heath Flora had prior commitments when the Walk was announced. They both quickly arranged for a private meeting with Mr. Singh and Mr. Malhi from Keyes  to show their support, concern and camaraderie with our Sikh neighbors. We were invited to the meeting and both of our sincere representatives were welcomed with warmth by the Sikh community. Jeff Denham vowed to do everything he can to prevent these perverted acts of hatred and violence. Both Heath and Jeff presented the gentleman with challenge coins and took a symbolic walk with them and the leadership of the Sikh community. Jeff further invited both to his Washington office to help build peace and unity.

I am sorry that Mr. Killingworth has such a vile, blind and undeserving dislike for our Congressman. Jeff works very hard for his district.  He or a member of his local staff attend virtual all events in Manteca, including fundraisers, ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, etc. He has gone out of his way to build tremendous relationships with local elected leaders and municipal leadership staff. The Congressman even maintains a mobile office here in Manteca for his local constituents. Jeff Denham truly understands Manteca needs and issues, and those of the valley. He deserves our votes and support.

Now Mr. Killingworth’s guy, Harder, on the other hand, was nowhere to be seen for the walk or any other Manteca event. My husband and I attend a lot of meetings and events, we have never seen Harder or even any of his staff in our fair city. But then Harder lived in the Bay Area for most of his adult life and only recently moved back to the valley so he could run for office. Probably doesn’t even know where Manteca is.  Heck, he hasn’t even bothered to vote in virtually any election for the last 10 years. Harder has no legislative experience whatsoever while Jeff Denham served two terms has a state senator before running for Congress. Jeff also served 16 years in the Air Force and participated in Operation Desert Storm. He and his wife Sonia operate an almond farm and a small plastic container business for shipping agriculture.

Jeff Denham has done a great job representing Manteca and the 10th district. He is a smart, capable leader with a deep understanding of the issues we face and is looking forward to continuing the job of making a better city, community and country for all.
