Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
The East Union High School Choir had a successful year and would like to publicly thank all who made that possible.  We were able to present four performances of “South Pacific” in February.  We appreciate Aileen Williams who directed the production, Mardy White who was the choreographer, Anita Heihn and Val Genilla who painted the amazing sets, Phil Talcott for building the sets, Sam Eklund for playing the lead, Daniel Talcott for helping, Desirae Beckwith, Kim Contreras and Kayla Busarow for being efficient stage managers, Crystal McGuire for running the lights, Cynthia Faure and Marla Corfiatis for back stage help and Melanee Scarborough for being house manager.  We were thrilled to have elementary students join our production also.  The EU Choir is grateful that the Manteca Presbyterian Church allowed us to use their facilities for the “South Pacific” performances as well as for our Winter and Spring concerts.

Thank you to the following people and businesses for making business card donations: Staples Easy Tech, Gas Depot Inc., Costa’s Automotive Machine, National Auto Body, D & R Auto & Transmission Repair, Brownie’s Towing, D & D Spray Center, A-1 Keyway Lock Shop, Discount Ag Parts, Vern’s Towing & Battery Service,  Manteca Test Only, Coffee-n-Go, Plush Puppy Grooming, Jim Rose Construction, Rose Custom Auto Detailing, Competition Landscaping, Xcelerated Transportation Group, Manteca Right to Life Pregnancy Help Center, Waffle Shop, Looney’s 24 Hour Tow, DeVinci’s, Hafers Home Furnishings, Envision Mechanical Inc., John Beahm, Graphic Artist, Deborah Romero at Ability Mortgage, Precision Hairstyling and Salon, Tommy’s Beach Bar & Grill, Lee’s Chinese Cuisine, Mikasa – Japanese Bistro and The Plant Connection.       We would not have been able to afford the royalties to “South Pacific” without the community’s support.

Our choir was able to perform at a festival this year and did a great job.  We appreciate the following chaperones who made our annual trip run smoothly:  Barbara and Rick Rocha, Anita Heihn, Linda Owens and Donna Goulart.
