Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
There is a saying, “Evil succeeds when good people stand by and do nothing.” I have a question for your readers. How many of you are standing by and doing nothing during our current election process? How many of you think you don’t have the time, don’t care, or don’t think you as an individual can make a difference? How many of you are registered to vote? How many of you realize that by not taking the couple of minutes to register to vote and voting, you are giving up your right to have a voice in your government? Do you realize how important that voice is?
How many of you realize that a very small percentage of the population is making the decisions for the majority? Do you really want that?
Voting is a privilege and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone who is a legal citizen and has the right, to register and vote. Become educated. Listen to the candidates. Become involved in the process. Apathy is a disease and is running wild. Don’t allow evil to succeed. Make a difference. Become involved. Do something. Help your candidate. Register and vote.
