Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
I have been so looking forward to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District providing our electricity for what seems an insanely long time. It seems so unfair to have this delay when we could be saving money.
Is PG&E going to refund our losses?
It is another example of PG&E’s attitude of pocketing as much as possible from consumers. It will be like benefits raining down on us when everyone is saving on the cost of electricity —all of the city departments, police, fire, schools, street lights and such paid with your taxes.
Also benefitting will be businesses — big and small — churches, charities, farms and more. PG&E picks some charities to donate to, but with SSJID everyone benefits. Lathrop Irrigation District which is run by SSJID is saving consumers 20 percent and its only experience comes from SSJID.
SSJID will give the same discounts as PG&E.
It hires from the same union as PG&E.
Public hearings will be in Stockton Dec. 10-12 from 9 a.m. at 44 San Joaquin Street in the sixth floor Board of Supervisors chambers. Please attend if you can.
