Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

I went shopping at J. C. Penney’s in Manteca for the first time Thursday. I admit I am getting up there in years. I thought for a moment I was back in the Fifties, I could not believe the politeness and kindness I was given from a special employee while I was there.

She went out of her way to help me and offered to use her legs to get what I needed. I have not had such kindness and treatment from an employee in over forty years. Salina, thank you for your help and thoughtfulness, you are rare in this day and age. I hope that reading this, others will stop and think what impression they may make on their customers, not just the holiday season, any time or place during the year.
