After reading the article in Saturday’s Bulletin, I have some ideas on how to slow down cars for students to cross Cottage Avenue at Brookdale Way. One way would be to install a traffic light at Button Avenue/Cottage (with no right turn on red) and then synchronize it with the one at Louise/Cottage to allow an opening for crossing. Another would be to put speed bumps at both the north and south sides of the Highway 99 bridge crossing.

 Synchronizing of traffic lights could also help North Main and West Yosemite.
