Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
The Lathrop High School Athletic Boosters hosted their first ever Dinner Dance at River Islands in Lathrop on Saturday evening.

It was an outdoor event along the river and the weather could not have been much better.  The price of the ticket ($30 each or $50 for a couple) included appetizers, wine, tri-tip, pasta, salad, rolls, and dessert.  From the beginning of the event through dinner, attendees were treated to the jazz music of the Levi McHenry Quartet, featuring the musical talents of Levi McHenry, Zack Iscoff, Cedric Starling, and Mark Twoumey - all current students of Manteca Unified School District.

There were also many wonderful silent auction and raffle items including a 37-inch flat screen plasma TV.  Ed Fang did a great job providing the music for dancing later on in the evening and guests danced until the event was over at midnight.  According to one attendee, Janet Mattfeld, “ Saturday night’s event was da bomb!  Great job on the food, ambiance, and music.” All in all, it was a great success and one that we hope to build on in the years to come.

Thanks so much!
