Lets have a parade in DC that counts

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
I was an Army medic from 1969 to 1971, and I find it very disturbing that the draft dodging idiot in the White House plans to spend millions of taxpayer dollars on a military parade, and then millions more on subsequent road repairs, solely for his own amusement and vanity. Will this insanity and nonsense ever cease?
This may come as a surprise to Trump, but soldiers don’t like to march. Why not end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, bring all of our troops home, and then hold a parade. But instead of our  exhausted troops marching, let’s give them lawn chairs, hot dogs, and coolers full of beer, line them up with their families on both sides of Pennsylvania Avenue, and then have Trump and every other President, Secretary of Defense, and war mongering politician from the past 40 years crawl along that street on their hands and knees, begging for forgiveness.
That’s one parade that’s long overdue, and one that I would not miss.
