Manteca crime & councilmans stolen car

Editor, Manteca Bulletin:
The recent crime wave that swept our fair city really doesn’t come as a surprise.
People are beaten and robbed while taking a daily walk, gunshots ringing out around town, mail being stolen and other forms of crime taking place.
The ultimate crime that took place was the stealing of Councilman Vince Hernandez’s car.
Hernandez made it a point to those people in attendance at the Jan. 19 Manteca City Council meeting that his car was parked in front of his house when it was stolen in broad daylight.
It doesn’t matter if it’s daylight or no lights – cars will be stolen.
There is a lighter side to this. With friends like Mayor Steve DeBrum and Vice Mayor Rich Silverman – the “Income Tax Expert” – they no doubt will come to Hernandez’s aid.
They could start fundraising events to help Vince get a new car.
Perhaps “Liquor Store Tycoon” Mike Morowit might throw in a few thousand bucks.
