Manteca High has slowly gone downhill

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

The OK Corral was famous for its gun fights back in the late 1880s. Now Manteca High has become famous because two teachers that also coach allegedly got into a fight at a crab feed.

It is shameful and terrible for coaches to act in such a manner. Teachers and coaches should conduct themselves in a more professional manner while attending a community function such as a crab feed. No doubt, people were horrified to see such behavior by grown men who should be setting a good example for the students at Manteca High.

No doubt alcohol probably played a big factor.

The Manteca Bulletin reported on Aug. 16, 2013 that the city was considering banning smoking in all parks. The city should ban alcohol in all parks since some people can’t control their drinking.

If a fight like what allegedly happened at the MRPS Hall had happened when I was a student at Manteca High from 1954 to 1957, the teachers would have been gone.

These two should be suspended for 90 days without pay if they are found guilty.

Manteca High was a good school back in those days. We did not have coaches behave like that. Since then the school has slowly gone downhill. The good old days apparently are gone at Manteca High.
