Regarding Frank Aquila’s letter about communist support of Occupy Wall Street, I am more troubled by the communist/socialist sympathizers in the White House. It is common knowledge that all of Obama’s “czars” and advisors, if not actually communists or socialists, could be described as “fellow travelers,” which is what they were known as back in the 1920s and 1930s.
Just one example of many, Cass Sunstein, Obama’s Regulatory Czar, in 2004 wrote a book “The Second Bill Of Rights: Fdr’s Unfinished Revolution And Why We Need It More Than Ever”. In this book he proposed rights which he hoped would migrate to the Constitution. These “rights” included a right to a job, the right to a decent home, the right to health care, protection from unemployment, wage guarantees for all, and of course, paid for by the redistribution of wealth. It always has to do with taking something from someone. He wrote in his book that an economic crisis such as a depression could move our country in the direction of socialism. In his book he lends support to communism. We know how communism worked in the last century--bloodshed as far as the eye could see with millions of people exterminated. We can see how socialism is working in governments collapsing all over Europe. Communism and Socialism work great for the people in charge, but capitalism over time benefits the greater good, which is opportunity to do well and succeed. We will always have the drifters and the people who don’t like to work. The poor and downtrodden, whom we WANT to help, still do better with the beneficence of a free and capitalistic society. Under communism, they just killed the poor and the sick. These occupiers are totally ignorant of the consequences of their desires, should they be implemented. They need to occupy Washington D.C. and protest the “crony” part of capitalism, which is blatantly practiced by this Administration.
The rabblement cry for fairness through wealth redistribution, can be directly traced to the progressive FDR New Deal Fairness Doctrine. In his autobiography, “Witness”, by Whittaker Chambers, he reveals the inner workings of the Communist Apparatuses during the Roosevelt administration, which included subversion of our government and infiltration into all branches of our government--treasury, state, science, education, but especially radio, motion pictures, book, magazine and newspaper publishing. (see p. 269 of “Witness,” or better yet, read the book). As documented by Chambers, the infiltrators helped write these progressive policies. The only difference between then and now is that these socialists are not underground. They are serving at the pleasure of the socialist in chief, President Obama.
People need to wake up to the fact that we have a socialist president, and it doesn’t take too much brain power to realize that as a socialist, this chaos presents his opportunity to usher in a socialist agenda. Does Obama really want to solve the jobless situation or the debt crisis? The obvious answer is “no.”
No wonder Obama supports the Occupiers. These selfish whiners are Obama’s foot soldiers in this effort.
