Now PG&E doesnt want to pay punitive damages

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

In the news PG&E argues in a new court filing that PG&E should not have to pay punitive damages to survivors of the pipeline explosion in San Bruno, because they didn’t know the pipe was flawed. Residents had smelled the gas and PG&E has been fined for not properly maintaining the pipes.

PG&E and TV ads have been saying they know the company had lost its way – but is committed to doing better now. I doubt that San Bruno residents would agree.

We can support South San Joaquin Irrigation District’s efforts to provide our electricity by our comments at SavewithSJIDD.com and by writing a letter to the San Joaquin Local Agency Formation Commission.
