Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

 Just for the heck of it I decided to actually read the Second Amendment since it is so often misquoted by members of the NRA. “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (Don Moyer’s outdoor column “The Umpqua college tragedy & gun control” that appeared Monday on Page B1)

 To me, Mr. Moyer, it’s perfectly clear. The Second Amendment guarantees a collective, rather than an individual right to bear arms.

(My apologies sir, if you’re not a member of the afore mentioned organization).
